Project Overview
QI for Whitechapel Church

Following the Quinquennial Inspection of the church and surrounding graveyard the Inspecting Architect was able to identify a priority action list for the church wardens identifying urgent repairs needed to the bell tower and roof. The report was used as part of a successful bid for a Heritage Lottery grant to replace the roof and rebuild the bell tower to its full height. Conservation stone masons were overseen by arctic following the QI Report

arctic has enjoyed partnering with various denominations including Baptists, Church of England, Methodist , United Reformed Church and Roman Catholic Churches in the maintenance of their buildings.

The Quinquennial Inspection Report is written as a working document for the church leadership in an appropriately approved format.

As Church Architects we work alongside each congregation in their unique situation and location to be a ready help as maybe required between Inspections.

Staff within arctic associates are registered with the Church of England as qualified Inspecting Architects for the following Diocese:

  York

arctic associates serves the Wakefield Circuit of Methodist Churches as Inspecting Architects as well as for some United Reformed, Baptist and Roman Catholic churches within the West Yorkshire area.

QI for St John's the Evangelist, Golcar

As Inspecting Architect to St John’s Church, arctic associates were asked to explore ways in which the church building could better serve the needs of the wider community. arctic have prepared 4 design options for consideration in a Feasibility Report. We are looking forward to assisting the church with their next stage.
